SUPREME COURT Jury Cases Settled

The last three civil jury cases listed for hearing in the Supreme Court this week have all been settled out of court, thus disposing of all such business at this session.

Mr Justice Macarthur yesterday morning discharged jurors from further attendance, after the announcement by counsel of a settlement, late on Monday night, of the last case remaining in the list.

The other two cases had been settled on Monday.

The case announced before his Honour as settled was a claim for road-accident damages in which A. S. Holloway (Mr J. G. Leggat) sought £3OOO from G. B. Stevenson (Mr P. G. S. Penlington). The two others settled were similar claims by H. Tauinata (Mr B. McClelland) for £12,500 against A. R. Taylor (Mr G. S. Brockett), and by M. M. Dunlop (Mr G. R. Lascelles) for £1750 against K. T. Adams (Mr Brockett).
