Command Changed In Waikato
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 6. For health reasons Captain S .F. Mercer has relinquished command of the frigate Waikato. He has been replaced by Captain E. C. Thorne. Captain Mercer took command of the Waikato in September when she was commissioned at Belfast. Captain Thorne is at present at the Imperial Defence College. He will take over the command of the Waikato on Saturday.
