2200 MORE UNITS
Radio-Phone Service
The Director-General of the Post Office (Mr A. W. Brockway) says that the Post Office land mobile radio-telephone service will expand by about 2200 mobile units in the year ending March 31, 1967. He estimates that for the year 1967-1968 there will be up to 120 more channels and between 2500 and 3000 additional mobile units.
These figures, he said, did not include expansion of services run by private associations, and took no account of replacement units.
