RESHUFFLE IN PARTY
New Names In Budapest (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) BUDAPEST, Dec. 5. About a quarter of the members of the Hungarian Communist Party’s central committee have been replaced, it has been disclosed in Budapest. A list of names of the 101 members of the new party leadership published yesterday included among the new members Foreign Minister Janos Peter, a former Calvinist bishop who gave up his church duties after the 1956 Hungarian uprising to take office in the Communist Government. The Justice Minister, Mr Ferenc Nezval, is replaced on the committee. The previous central committee had 83 members. The new body was elected at the end of the Hungarian Communist Party’s ninth congress on Saturday.
