EFFECT OF U.K. FREEZE

The wage-price freeze in Britain will leave 583,000 persons unemployed by the end of 1967, a figure well above that "acceptable” to the Government. it has been predicted. The National Institute of Economic and Social Research thinks the unemployment figures will continue to rise into 1968.
