Stamp Sales
Sales of the 1966 health stamp amounted to £18,191 Ils 8d in the Christchurch postal area, said the district chairman of the health stamp committee, Mr C. L. Martin. This was nearly £1305 more than for total sales last year. The Post Office withdrew the health stamp from sale last Wednesday. Mr Martin said his committee wanted to thank people who helped to sell the stamps and those who bought them. The 1966 health stamp is the last of the bird series. Next year a new series of sporting themes will be introduced.
