Taxi-Driver Attacked
A taxi-driver, Mr R. Clarke, driver of No. 6 cab in the Blue Star fleet, was attacked by four men, passengers in his taxi, early on Saturday evening. Mr Clarke said he picked the men up at a hotel in the city. They gave him different destinations and began quarrelling. He stopped the taxi at the corner of Montreal street and Moorhouse avenue and told the men to get out. One of the men attacked him. He got out and the others joined in. Mr Clarke said he knocked one of the men down, and two ran away. He had a fight with the fourth and knocked him down. Mr Clarke suffered bruises and minor abrasions.
