OBJECTOR ARRESTED
Crowd Clash With Police
(N Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY, Nov. 22. More than a dozen police clashed with demonstrators as a 21-year-old conscientious objector, William White, was arrested by civilian police at his Sydney home to day. He had refused to serve in the Army because he believed that war was immoral. There were violent scenes outside his home as he was taken to a police car. A crowd of about 30 people hurled insults at the police. White offered passive resistance, but demonstrators scuffled with the police and punches were thrown. When White was put inside the car the demonstrators threw themselves in front of it.
