Yesterday afternoon's downpour was responsible for a fire call to the Russley Hotel. Water seeped into the bottle store and caused a short-cir-cuit in the automatic alarm system. One report to “The Press” was that heavy rain and hail falling into the heated swimming pool at the hotel caused a great deal of steam, and this was mistaken for smoke.
