Banned For Foul Play
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter — Copyright) MOSCOW. The Soviet international, A. Korneyev, has been banned from soccer until the end of the year after incidents in a recent European Cup winners’ match. Korneyev, aged 27, an experienced back, was a member of the Soviet squad which finished fourth in the World Cup series in England. The Soviet Football Federation said his suspension was for foul play in the Moscow match on November 9 between his club side, Moscow Spartak, and Rapid Vienna. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
