GIFTS TO COLLEGE
Use For Library Donations amounting to £3OO from the Infant Mistresses Association and the Canterbury branch of the Pioneers and Descendants' Society have helped to fill the shelves of the library at the Christchurch Teachers’ College.
Yesterday, the college acknowledged the gift of £lOO from the Infant Mistresses’ Association by inviting its members to inspect the books purchased with the money. A gift of £2OO from the Pioneers and Descendants’ Society will be presented to the college at a function next week.
A spokesman for the college said yesterday that the donations, subsidised £ for £ by the Government, had secured among others the story books and works on educational practice in junior classes.
