Man Reports Stabbing
A motorist reported to the police last evening that a man to whom he had refused a lift stabbed him with a knife.
The motorist had a tear in his clothing and a slight nick on the upper part of his body. Detectives and constables searched for the assailant without success.
The motorist said that he stopped his car in Gloucester street about 8.30 p.m. A man approached him and asked for a lift to Victoria street. The motorist refused because he was not going in that direction.
The man attacked him with his fists, and the motorist retaliated. The man drew a knife, stabbed at him, and then ran off.
