Stollmeyer. the manager of the West Indies cricket team which has Just completed its tour of England, said in Port of Spain yesterday that the tourists had welcomed the recent selection of South Africans in the Rest of the World XI to play Barbados next year. “The Barbados Government gave the Rest of the World selectors permission to select South Africans,” he said. "Barbados wants to tackle the rest of the world, not part of it. In any case, these problems are not solved by bitterness and retaliatory methods.” The South African test cricketers, R. G. Pollock, P. M. Pollock and K. C. Bl,and have been chosen for the Rest of the World XI to play Barbados next March as part of the island's independence celebrations. "The Pollock brothers and Bland are great cricketers and I hope they will be welcomed as such,” Mr Stollmeyer added.
