JAMBOREE PLANS
Venue To Be Kaiapoi Up to 5000 Boy Scouts from Asia, the United States, Mexico, Canada and Australia are expected to attend the ‘fifth national jamboree which will be held at Kaiapoi from January 4 to 11, 1969. The venue of the jamboree was decided at a meeting at national headquarters, Wellington, at the week-end. Arrangements will be made by a local committee consisting of the Scout area commissioner (Mr A- Stark), the assistant area commissioner for the metropolitan sane (Mr D. O. Watson), the venturer commissioner for New Zealand (Mr R. E. Glensor). and : chairmen of sub-committees.
