Assaulted Girl He Had Raped
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND Sept. 16. A 22-year-old man was gaoled for. 18 months today for indecently assaulting a girl while on bail after being charged with rape. The term is to be concurrent with a three-year gaol term imposed on the man, Frank Gugich, a welder, for raping the same girl at Whangarei earlier this year. Imposing sentence, Mr Justice Hardie Boys said the worst feature of the case was that Gugich had committed the assault while he was on bail. The assault was severe.
