Former Missionary Dies
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 16. A pioneer educational missionary in Fiji, Miss Annie Maud Griffin, has died in Auckland. She was 80. Born in Christchurch, she graduated M.A. in 1908, and taught at Napier, Palmerston North and Invercargill High Schools. In 1912, she went to Fiji as principal of Dudley House Methodist School for Indian children. She was a foundation member of the Pan Pacific and South-east Asian Women’s Association.
