Trial Winner At Awapuni
“The Press” Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH.
Sir James Wattle will be represented in the spring by the two-year-old Autonomy, a Pakistan ll—Mijulin colt which scored a runaway success at the recent race trials at Awapuni. Autonomy, a half-brother to Automaton, was bred by M. w. Pratt Jn whose colours he made his matinee appearance. On Thursday Sir James Wattle made a successful bid to buy the youngster, which will remain in E. Ropiha’s Woodville stable to be trained for the Hastings Stakes at the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s spring meeting.
