(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, Sept. 9.
A meeting of the National Party’s Timaru electorate committee was held this evening to discuss the possibility of extending the closing date for nominations for the Timaru seat at the General Ejection. The chairman of the committee (Mr B. J. Kilgour) said that no nominations had been received so far. Nominations have been advertised as closing at noon tomorrow. Mr A. K. Begg, sales manager of the Timaru Fishing Company, Ltd., is the only person who has indicated that he will seek nomination. Fresh nominations were called after Mr J. G. Humm, rhe selected candidate, had •oeen released to seek nomination again in Ashburton, where he had been a nominee when Mr R. E. Buick, who has since withdrawn, was chosen.
