Superannuation
Sir, —There was not much chance for greed with most of the earlier contributors to Government superannuation, many of whom were hard put to rear and try to educate
families and pay up to 5 per cent of their wages over a period of 40 years. These are the ones under discussion, and not all are fit to earn money. I have two press clippings. The first states that the Government superannuation scheme was overdue for consideration and would be given attention. The second, published some 18 months ago, stated that some consideration was being given to this scheme and superannuitants could expect an announcement shortly. Just so much meaningless soft-soap.—Yours, etc.,
STILL WAITING. August 27, 1966.
