They, and the strong running full-back Grenfell, exploited the tackling weakness of the College team. Had the Old Boys’ handling been better the score would have been greater for the forwards gradually gained control in the second half and Teachers' College looked a tired side at the end of the game. R. Doell, K. Hill and J. Bishop played soundly in the Old Boys’ forwards and S. Cron and G. Plummer did good work in the Teachers’ College pack. J.
