A thrilling movement late In the first spell from a position of desperate defence was the brightest moment in a free running and entertaining match on the dry, hard ground of Rugby Park. From a dropped pass, the ball was kicked into the Lincoln College twenty-five. Keoghan, the full-back, just managed to evade a tackle and, instead of kicking, ran. Finally, McLellan crashed over under the posts. From then, the Lincoln College team, which had looked unimpressive, went from strength to strength and University B.
