Obituary MR J. P. STRATTON

(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) PERTH. Mr John Peter Stratton, a former president of the InterDominion Trotting Conference, died suddenly last night. He was 78. Mr Stratton, one of Australia’s best-known racing personalities, raced horses in all Australian states. He was president of the West Australian Trotting Association for the last 36 years and was a foundation member of the state’s Totalisator Agency Board. Mr Stratton, who leaves a widow and five children, owned several farms in Western Australia.
