"The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON. A three-game tour of New Zealand by an Australian under--23 team in October is virtually assurred of taking place. At last night’s executive meeting of the New Zealand Football Association it was decided to circularise Canterbury. Wellington and Auckland to see if they could stage the games during October. "Australia are keen on the proposal to set up an annual fixture between the under-23 sides of the two countries,” said the chairman of the tours committee (Mr C. R. Wilkins). "Australia have suggested that they tour New Zealand in October, with us repeating the tour next year.” He said that the final details for the tour would be settled at the next council meeting of the national body, which is scheduled for September 3. "The present suggestion is that three games be played, two in Auckland and one in Welilington. We also have in mind the possibility of plaving them in Canterbury. Wellington and I Auckland, however.
