Maoris Playing Ex-Kiwis
A Canterbury Maori Rugby League XIII will play the ExKiwis at Murphy Park, Kalapoi, on Sunday. • This will be the second of several matches that the ExKiwis Intend to play this sea son. An earlier match, against a Canterbury XIII, produced some of the most attractive football of the season. The Canterbury Maoris squad, announced last evening, will probably require two alterations. The Marist forwards. M H. Mohi and W. A. Flavell. were both Injured on the week-end and are unlikely to play. Mohi has a shoulder Injury and Flavell an injured wrist. The squad Is:— D. J. Carroll (Christchurch). P. H. Nepla (Marist). C. C. Preece (Sydenham). G. Teaho (Addington). E. Kereopa (Lin wood). J C. Hawthorne (Papanui). B. Williams (Kalapoi), W Karina (Sydenham), J. Nelson (Kalapoi), J. Martin (Syden ham), L. Tehula (Christchurch). C. Schwass (Papanul), Mohi, Flavell. J. K. Keremeta (Marist). M. Whittaker (Linwood), D. Barton (Marist). T. Fonatea (Linwood). A. Tuuta (Sydenham), and R. Cotter (Addington).
