Renewing Licences
More than 2000 of 31,000 city drivers who must renew their licences by the end of this month have done so.
Many drivers nearly 100 on Wednesday—are still going to the main offices of the Christchurch City Council near the Civic Theatre, but the licence renewals are being made at the new offices, of the traffic department between the M.E.D. building and the Manchester street parking building. Motorists may renew their licences by post. Car owners can also register their cars by post; 155,000 cars in the Christchurch area must be relicensed by the end of this month.
