Improvements To Hall
The centre had Improved considerably in appearance, the president of the North New Brighton War Memorial Community Centre (Mr F. A. Perham) told the centre’s annual meeting.
With the help of the Christchurch City Council, all painting had been done and the floor had been sanded and sealed, said Mr Perham. He thanked the indoor bowling club for surrendering debentures of £lOO. This had strengthened the financial position he said. Officers elected were:—President, Mr F. A. Perham; vice-president, Mrs L Woods; secretary, Mrs F. A. Pertiam; treasurer, Mr H. Warden; committee, Messrs R. Lilley, V. Newall, P. Sul’ivan, and K. Maynard, Mesdames A. Helms, E. Sullivan, and N. M. Cooper.
