Taxi Licences Transferred
Three applications for transfers of continuous taxi licences were granted at a sitting of the No. 9 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr J. S. Haywood). Allan John Mitchell, of 12 Euston street, Christchurch (Mr P. F. Tempero), was granted a transfer from Jack Oswald Godman, of Christchurch. The applicant told the authority that he had owned a half share in the taxi business since 1961, and now intended to buy the other half.
The authority also granted transfers of continuous taxi licences to George Henry Brydon, of 69 Barton street, Woolston (Mr I. C. J. Polson), from Eric William Davis, of Christchurch, and to Patrick Joseph Hughes, of 3368 Pages road (Mr I. A. Pringle), from Anthony Cyril Brownie, of Christchurch.
