Walk To Help Young Indians
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 17. Money raised through sponsorship of boys taking part in the Boys’ Brigade 50-mile hunger walk on Saturday, May 28, will go toward the provision of a tractor, implements and shed to help to train young Indians in modern agricultural and farming methods. More than £2OOO is needed for this project which will be sent to a young New Zealander, John Hayman, who is establishing a farm at the Madras Christian College, India.
The 2nd Company hopes to raise the money through its hunger walk. It has a number of sponsors.
