Indoor Bowls Qualifiers
J. Kelly (New Brighton) and R. Lange (Railways) will represent the Canterbury Indoor Bowls Association in the Rothmans Inter-provincial tournament. Fifty-two rinks contested the elimination rounds to decide which rinks would go forward to the South Island elimination rounds in July. The South Island final will be played In August and the New Zealand final in September. Results were:— Quarter-finals.—J. Kelly 12, H. Lack 10: A. Jory 12, F. Bear 7; R. Lange 10, A. Williamson 8: J. Woods 20, W Blackler 8.
Semi-finals.—Kelly 11, Jory 7; Lange 17. Woods 11.
Shared Fortune.— An Australian, Mr M. Oaris-'c. has shared the blggeet soccer pool* win of the season in Britain. IVn Fenwtcc won
