Carpenter Likely Riverton Improver

Carpenter was a fast-finish-ing fourth in the Riverton Cup on Saturday and Bastille ran a good trial by decisively beating the hack milers.

An on-course double will be run on the Novice and Wallace Handicaps, from which Ranana and Belfie may be the respective favourite.,. Week-end rain has soaked the track, which cut out badly at the end of the first day. Selections:—
