Carpenter Likely Riverton Improver

“The Press’* Special Service INVERCARGILL. A. E. Didham’s pair. Carpenter in the D. M. Tweedie Memorial Handicap and Bastille in the Southern Champion Hack Handicap, will be a likely T.A.B. double combination on the second day of the Riverton Racing Club's Easter meeting today.

Carpenter was a fast-finish-ing fourth in the Riverton Cup on Saturday and Bastille ran a good trial by decisively beating the hack milers.

An on-course double will be run on the Novice and Wallace Handicaps, from which Ranana and Belfie may be the respective favourite.,. Week-end rain has soaked the track, which cut out badly at the end of the first day. Selections:—
