The top-seeded pair, J. Mitchell and R. McCutcheon, will meet today in the men's singles final of the Canterbury Easter tennis tournament at Wilding Park. They won through after some hard competition in the quarter- and semi-finals.

In a hard-fought first set the first seed. Mitchell, beat L. Legge, 9-7, after some splendid rallies. Mitchell took the second set 6-3. Mitchell’s next opponent was D. Hawkes in a semi-final and although Mitchell took the first set, 6-1, Hawkes fought back in the second. After being down 1-5.
