PACIFIC AIR FARES
Pan Am. Seeks Reduction (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 4. Pain American Airways would welcome talks with other carriers in an effort to introduce practicable fare reductions in the South Pacific as soon as possible, the airline’s New Zealand director (Mr W. L. Rolph) said tonight. He said Canadian Pacific Airlines’ recent statement that it would seek fare reductions in the South Pacific was consistent with Pan American’s continuing policy to reduce fares to the level Where the average person could afford to travel.
