Dexter Returning?
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON. E. R. Dexter may return to the England side for the tests against the West Indies this season. Clive Taylor reported in the “Sun.” The chairman of the test selectors, Mr D. J. Insole, said yesterday: “If he is playing well enough he. will be a starter.” Mr Insole added: “So far he has guaranteed Sussex only the knock-
out cup matches. If he gets off to a good start I am hoping he will play a bit more than he thinks at the moment. “But without some county games he is out of the reckoning. At the moment on what we know now he is of no use to us—we could not consider him.”
If Dexter did play in the series he would come up against the man he has labelled a “chucker” C. C. Griffith.
