NO MOVE MADE
Cooper And Clay Fight (N.Z P A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. There will be no new moves towards a world title fight between Cassius Clay and Henry Cooper until Clay’s appeal against his call-up has been heard. Cooper’s manager, Mr Jim Wicks, said this in London yesterday. He had been asked to comment on a report that Toronto had been tentatively named as the venue and May as the date. “That report is very insubstantial,” he said. “There are British promoters who would like to stage the fight just as much as those in Toronto. “Nothing can really be done until Clay appears before the Army board and I am making no commitments until that has been cleared up.” Clay’s appeal is set down for hearing on April 14.
