Moths Racing At Lyttelton
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON New Zealand would be the venue next summer for a new international yachting championship for lift Moth-class yachts, the national president of the Restricted Moth Class Association (Mr H. H. Wagstaff) said yesterday. He said the National Moth Class Association had advised his association that a team of Moth yachts would represent the Commonwealth in an international contest in New Zealand next summer. New Zealand's six best Moths probably would be selected in conjunction with the national championships for the class. Those were to be held at Lyttelton with the Canterbury Yacht Club as host on January 13, 14 and 15. Invitations to join the contest would also be sent to the United States, Canada, and European countries.
