UNSORTED MAIL
I Australian Concern (N.Z. Press Aon.—Copj/rtphr > CANBERRA. April 5 More than 14 million unsorted mail articles have been banked up In State capitals as a result of the mail dispute. Federal Ministers were told in Canberra t lay. The Prime Minister, Mr Harold Holt, the PostmasterGeneral, Mr Alan Hulme, and other Ministers met with top officials in the Cabinet room. The meeting was briefed on aspects of the dispute as it affected Post Offices in each capital. Deliveries, because of the sorters’ overtime lan and a work-to-regulations campaign, are two days behind schedule. Go-slow tactics of the sorters follow a 24-hour national stoppage last Friday. They are in support of a demand for the full adult male rate for girls who will operate electronic mail-sorting machines at the Redfern exchange.
