PLANES FOR ARMY
Six May Be Ordered (N.Z. Press Association > WELLINGTON. March 30. Under the Government’s four-year defence review—at present before the Cabinet—the Army is expected to take delivery later this year of about six light aircraft. A Ministry of Defence official said today that the aircraft capable of making short take-offs and landings—would be used to closely support ground troops by providing reconnaissance and communications services. The Army has been promised the aircraft since 1963.
