Two Ships At Anchor
Two ships, the Hauraki and Wairato, anchored off the heads at Lyttelton yesterday but working berths are expected to be available this morning for both. The Vingrom will berth today with 5500 tons of phosphate for discharge, but the Port Napier, which is also due, will anchor. The port is not congested as shipping is moving freely. At 7 a.m. 666 watersiders and 22 non-unionists were engaged. The only idle vessels were those at anchor.
