21st Year As Chairman
The chairman of the West Coast Sawmillers* Association (Mr A. L. McKay) was reelected for a record twentyfirst term at the annual meeting of the association recently. Mr P. M. Mac Shane was reappointed secretary and Mr E. E. Mosely assistant secretary.
Members appointed to the emergency committee were: Messrs McKay, L. M. (Millions, J. F. Tibbles, G. D. Jack, J. F. Gilbert, W. G. Bissell, M. W. Curtis, Mac Shane and Mosely. A new organisation, the West Coast Processing Association, was formed at the time of the meeting. It has been set up to watch the interests of members of the sawmilling industry who are processing timber on the West Coast.
Officers of the new organisation are: chairman, Mr Gillions; executive, Messrs J. Gilbert, T. A. Scrivener; W. J. Levett, D. Holcroft and J. S. Chapman.
