ATHLETES TO MAKE TOUR
A 13-strong team has been named to represent Australian Universities in a tour of New Zealand early next month.
It will compete against Canterbury University at St. Andrew’s College on April 5 and against New Zealand Universities at Dunedin on April 11. The team is: F. Larkins (captain), B. J. Carrigan, R. B. Clarke, P. Fitzgerald, J. Hendry, J. Hongell, T. Lancaster, D. McKay. A. F. Rowe, M. Smith, G. Tavanavanua, G Taylor, L. Walkley. The manager will be Mr K. R. Mottram, who has toured New Zealand twice previously with the team as a hammer thrower. He will not compete in the test match but will take place in other competitions where possible.
