Clarke Left By Grelle’s Burst

The American miler, Jim Grelle, scored his second win over Ron Clarke in the international athletics series in Australia at Adelaide on Tuesday night. Grelle won the two miles in the last 100 metres in Bmin 34sec.
After four laps Clarke sprinted, but Grelle stayed at his shoulder and remained there until the final straight. Clarke was unable to match the American’s finishing burst and Grelle was clear by four yards at tlfe tape.
