The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said tonight he believed the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) had indicated some time ago he was studying the question of a Royal commission to review the structure of taxation and to redraft taxation laws. Mr Holyoake had been asked if he believed such a commission was justified. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Kirk) said at the week-end that when the Labour Party became the Government it would appoint a Royai commission on taxation.
