Beach Mission At Woodend
Another beach mission is being held at Woodend this year. Unsettled weather has not interrupted the mission’s activities, and many campers have participated. Every morning about 150 children have joined in singing with “Uncle Ted,” and have watched a team of young people illustrate a Bible story. Afternoon entertainment has consisted of outdoor games and competitions, and a Scripture study group has met regularly. Teen-agers have enjoyed folk dancing, films, a barbecue, and singing. Tonight the final of the “Mr and Miss Woodend” competition will be organised by Mr D. Sealby. A camp concert is planned for tomorrow night, and on Sunday the camp padre (the Rev. N. Brookes) will conduct a Gospel service. The programme of the mission was jointly organised by the beach mission committee and the campers’ committee. The mission will end on Monday evening.
