Otago 11, Manawatu 4; Wellington 5, Waikato 4; Otago 15, Hutt Valley 0; Wellington 5, Canterbury 3; Hawke’s Bay 8, Manawatu 1; Auckland 6, Waikato 0.
Canterbury’s first batter, B. Malkinson, hit on. She advanced on a sacrifice by J. Davies and scored on an overthrow which allowed N. Beale to second. Beale scored on a good hit by I. Jones who scored on a hit by K. McCormick.
Canterbury batters failed to hit from this stage and did not score again. D. Farrow, of Wellington, hit on and an overthrow on a steal to second placed her on
till to be played, Auckin the New Zealand ament. Auckland is fol’s Bay with one loss.

Welington scored M. Barnes on an error in its second innings but failed to increase its score in the next two innings. J. Langley was on base in Wellington’s fifth innings and two outs enabled her to score the equalising run on a hit by M. Ward who later scored on a hit by E. Collingwood for Wellington to take the lead three-up, three-down. In the sixth, Farrow again hit on and in the seventh she stole to second, gained third on an error and M. Ward sacrificed. With the ball relayed to home for the double play she was ruled safe at home for the best Wellington run.
