Intruders In Bedroom
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Dec. 30.
Mr J. Young, the proprietor of the Pier Hotel, Wellington, yelled and sent two intruders running from his bedroom at 1.45 this morning. They ran out of the hotel and sped off in a car. Mr Young found the lock had been unscrewed from the street door and the hotel’s safe unsuccessfully tampered with.
Police said an oxy-aeetylene set found in the bar had been stolen earlier in the night from other premises in Wellington.
