TRAVELLERS TO N.Z.
Notification Of Illness
All travellers to New Zealand by sea or air will be requested to notify health authorities if they become ill within 14 days of their arrival, according to a report from the Tourist and Publicity Department. ‘The purpose is to bring to early attention cases of disease contracted overseas, but not apparent at the time of arrival,” says the report. ‘The notice, printed in English and French, is distributed by the Health Department. To avoid inconvenience or delay to passengers, it will accompany the customs declaration form already distributed before reaching New Zealand.”
