Waste Paper
Sir, “Ham” complains about the tremendous waste in New Zealand of old papers, books, and magazines which people burn td get rid of. I heartily agree with him, for surely these could be repulped to use again. Two other things that are wasted in this country are empty bottles, especially beer and medicine bottles, and scrap iron. There must be thousands of pounds worth of these things wasted in New Zealand. In countries like Japan and China they would be collected and put to good use.— Yours, etc.. OLD-TIMER.
