Bullet Wound
A man, whose name has not yet been released by the police, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital last evening with a bullet wound in the stomach.
The police said there was no suggestion of foul play, and no person other than the wounded man was involved.
About 9.30 p.m. police were informed that the actions of a man with a rifle in Soberton street, Aranui, were causing concern. Six uniformed policemen and two detectives, with firearms, went there immediately. They found the man in a house with a wound in the stomach from a .22 rifle.
