Pyjama Black Maria Theft
(N.Z.P. A. -Reuter—Copyright) WICHITA (Kansas), Dec. 15. A red-haired woman who stole a Black Maria from in front of a police station while wearing only baby-doll pyjamas and white shoes last Sunday was sentenced to a year in gaol yesterday for her joyride. Mrs Leona Hickman, aged 22, pleaded guilty to a charge of unauthorised use of a motor-vehicle. In passing sentence, Judge Ronald Wilkinson said the woman might not have to serve the entire sentence if she was able to obtain probation. It was her first offence.
