Friendship Club
At the last meeting of a most successful year, the members of the Burwood Hospital Friendship Club held their Christmas Party, yesterday. The Occupational Therapy Department was decorated for the occasion and each member received a present from the Cbrismtas tree. Mr and Mrs W. E. Cook and party gave items and members joined with them in singing Christmas carols. Mrs N. C. Davis presented and cut a Christmas cake. Members had invited eight fellow patients, including two children, « visitors In November, Mrs F. W. K. Humphries showed members slides of Jugoslavia, Salzburg, and Vienna. Mr R. C. Waid, a native of northern Ireland, also gave a travel talk accompanied by slides. Some were of “The Emerald Isle,” others Chester Zoo, Coventry Cathedral and the voyage to New Zealand. The Friendship Club will resume its fortnightly meetings in mid-January.
